TV and homework

Remember when we were little kids, tv is soo much fun. Very fun indeed. I would give up everything for my evening session in front of our old tv. According to Abah that TV is quite same age as me, which is 26 now. I remember, thursday and friday evening was the most happening. Suria perkasa hitam, flashman on thursday and thundercat, flashman on friday. It was kind of custom of our family, every friday, after lunch we all will sit at the hall room and watch hindustan movie, especially when mithun chakraboty was a hero, even umi and abah would cancel all the plans till the movie hit the end. As for me, hindustan wasnt really I am fond at eventhough i would also sat there in the hall, I would rather fading into last week flashman episode, to foresee what the "penjahat" plan for this week. Usually there will be around 30 minutes gap after the movie till flashman start, and this is like a ritual for Umi to start asking me to do things from buying goreng pisang, to homework even sometime ask me wash my school shoes. Maybe another cool things of being a school prefect other than to be the center of attentions, is to wear leather shoe in which you dont have to wash ever, hahaha. Sometimes my parent would create reasons, like to give the tv resting time since hindustan movie would take 3 long hours to finish and it would be very frustrating if as the hindustan movie was about to finish and suddenly its about to rain, we have lots of water pouring down in kelantan especially near year end. What the matter with rain? Adults , especially those living in village in Kelantan have this mind set that rains will come together with thunders and thunders have potentials to short circuits the house electric systems. Which later on I learned that is why we have ELCB, Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker in our house. Usually the command to make sure Tv being turned off would come together with " Dont you remember last week Mak Long's tv been strike by lightning? You want that to happen to our tv too?". I should blame those looney electrician whom had not install the correct ELCB, if not no tv would burnt, heh.
Why I am bragging about this TV? Last night, being light-bone(ringan tulang) I volunteered to help my girlfriend with her poster, USED to be good with photoshop I am and I am editing while watching House on the TV. On the start, I was, oh this is kind of fun, working in front of TV, so relaxing, and recall that my parent always against doing homeworks while watching Tv, I said to myself, later my kids wont have to hear me nagging not to do homework while TV is on. Later on, I cant focus to the photoshops which I had lost my touch and struggling keeping track with House. I admit, now i really understand why my parent scolded me for doing my homework in the living room in front of TV.

p/s what was the series of school girls playing volley ball? I cant remember except for one jurus called, somersault berpusing. Man, that jurus was totally lagendary.

M for Money

I want to start to seriously taking care of my financial. Starting from today. Most of my close friends amazed with my financial literature eventhough I graduated as an electronic guy whom do not know how to fix a transistor radio and still confuse of 3-pin plug polarity. I know how cashflow works, and why rich are getting richer and poor still running in the rat race, thanks to Mr Kirosaki. But still my money only last till the end of the month or most of the time NEARLY end of the month.

Yes, I am sick of how poor I am organizing my money.

This enlightenment shines few days ago, when my Senior Engineer bought half a million house. He is 35 i think. Suddenly I felt like I want to own one too. So I start hunting. Pre-heated with news that Puchong would be the next USJ, I felt the urged to be a property owner.

Started with a town house here near my office, I went to the show unit, impressive interior design which I am pretty sure there are more Eric of Casa Impian out there. Nearly felt in love with it untill the price was spread open in front of me.

170K.

Yes, that is a house sized 1200 square ft, with 2 bedrooms and another so called bedroom. Not to forget a Perodua Viva size parking lot. And 95 years ownership. Dang!

I know i cant afford it. Actually I could. But with the situation of by-the-28th-my-wallet-dried, how could I allocate $650 for that mi'casa?

So I create a spreadsheet. Listing every cent I used. No more lebih-kurang. This is serious. And I want to own a casa, before I get a Princess for it, hahaha, that is romantic!
